Healthy Students Initiative

Research shows the academic success of students is strongly linked to their health. Students who are more physically active and consume a nutritionally balanced diet perform better in school. Research also shows that it is easier for individuals to be more active and eat healthfully when their environment encourages such behaviors. In 2008, three elementary schools began taking part in a new initiative aimed at transforming the school culture to promote healthy eating and physical activity. Redding School of the Arts Now Open

The features are terrific. Every aspect of this is purpose-built for an arts school. Any other facility is just a compromise. The morning of Tuesday, September 6th was a landmark event in the history of Redding School of the Arts, a Redding-based public charter school. After years of visioning, planning, and construction, the new campus finally opened at 955 Inspiration Place, off of Shasta View Drive in Redding.
