 In Community Vitality

Since opening October 12th, the Art from the Ashes – Seeds of Regrowth has proven a moving addition to the community’s process of Carr Fire recovery.

Over 100 works of art enliven three venues within the Redding Cultural District in downtown Redding: Shervan Square (1348 Market Street), Old City Hall (1313 Market Street)  & California Street Labs (1313 California Street). Here is a taste of the exhibit opening event:

The exhibit will remain open through Friday, November 15th. Don’t miss this opportunity to reflect on what our community has been through, and to be together. Regular exhibition hours:

  • 11/9 12-3p all locations (Note-early closing at Sherven Sq & CA Labs due to special event/fire science panel at Old City Hall)
  • 11/14 12-6p all locations
  • 11/15 12-6p all locations

Schedule a tour tour by appointment outside of regular hours, Art from the Ashes is happy to accommodate you! Email them at AFTASeedsofRegrowth@artfromtheashes.org.

In addition, Art from the Ashes will be recognized at the North State Symphony concert on Sunday, November 10th at the Cascade Theatre in downtown Redding at their fire recovery-themed concert, Rising Above.
