At the Labs: Demo of Fire-Resistant Building Materials

The Shasta Builder’s Exchange hosted an event at California Street Labs today. The focus? Fire-resistant building materials, an especially important topic in the wake of the Carr Fire that has affected Redding and Shasta County. The mission of the Shasta Builder’s Exchange is:
• To promote economic development
• To work effectively with local government
• To improve the quality of life in our community
• To build the Trade School
• Teach marketable skills
• Create career opportunities
• Expand the skilled workforce

Today, that mission took shape through demos of AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete). Here are a few highlights about how new building materials might shape our future city, in case you missed it:
